***See Grannies Dec 19th on 6th Street at Esther’s Follies (8 & 10)

Winners of five consecutive gold medals in the annual Starpower National Dance Competition in Las Vegas, the Tap Dancin’ Grannies in the past 25 years have danced all over Texas, won regional dance competitions in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin, and performed their comedy as well as serious routines at a host of venues – Esther’s Follies, Bastrop Opera House, Scholz Beer Garden, Austin Aqua Festival, the Paramount Theater, Bass Concert Hall, the Zilker Park Trail of Lights and on National Television. Ann Richards, then Governor of Texas, had the grannies as sole entertainment at a luncheon on lake Austin and everyone had a heck of a good time.

The group is available for a wide variety of events, including conventions, fund raisers, birthday parties and wedding receptions. The dancers have performed on television and, for the clairvoyant, even on radio.
